CORROSION DAMAGE

Overview

In humid climates, corrosion can occur to battery terminals, battery management system components and power conversion systems
(i.e. the inverters)
OEM warranties specify the temperature range and humidity range within which the BESS can safely operate
The HVAC systems must maintain humidity at acceptable levels to avoid corrosion of BESS components
Auxiliary power is required to enable critical safety systems, such as the HVAC and the Fire Detection and Suppressant System (FDSS) to function in the event of a grid outage
